2012 FM Challengers

          The Fargo-Moorhead Challenger baseball league was formed due to the necessity for more athletic opportunities for children with special needs in the Fargo-Moorhead area, particularly in the age range of 5 to 18. June 2007 marked the official start of the FM Challenger League, and since then, the league has expanded in 2008 to over 60 children with varying abilities. In the summer of 2009 we grew to over 80 children. The 2010 season grew to over a 94 children signed up. FM Challengers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) under Arc West Central.

Field Location

We will be playing at the new F-M Miracle Field located in Southside Regional Park at 2000 40th Avenue South in Moorhead.

The FM Challengers have been so fortunate to have an amazing group of volunteers that help coach the kids, pitch the balls, and provide overall support to the players in the league. With the help of our volunteers, parents are able to watch their children play, rather than having to adapt the game or help their children. We provide appropriate adaptations as needed by each individual child. During each game, all of the children bat until they get a hit, with no strikes counted against them. Basic skills such as throwing, catching, batting and running the bases are targeted at the beginning of the evening, followed by a game. We will be playing at the new F-M Miracle Field located in Southside Regional Park at 2000 40th Avenue South in Moorhead.
